Steve over at WhiteSoxCards has a very nice write up about Mr. Score (here). I learned of Herb Score's passing at lunch today while at work. My heart goes out to the Score family, and to all of the Tribe Nation. We have lost a deeply rooted part of our team's family. May you rest in piece.
Sad to hear. I have a fondness for great pitchers of the '50s, and he was one of them.
ReplyDeleteSad news. This is one aspect of modern day free agency that saddens me. Many modern players will not be as fondly thought of as Mr. Score because of their roving ways.
