This weekly thing has to stop

Has it been a week? Actually, MORE than a week!? Ouch.  I need a hobby so that I can update my Tribecards page more than a week at a time!  Wait. I have a hobby.  What I do not have, however, is discipline.

So, where do I go from here?

I have been toying with an idea that is similar to the Orioles Card "O" the Day - post a different Triber each day.  Maybe I'll start with each week.  Not sure I can devote the time to a daily update.  Frankly, I don't know how Kevin does it.  In any case, I'm think of calling the series something like "Weekly Triber Intake" or "Weekly Triber Supplement" - though, admittedly, using "Daily" instead makes for a much better pun.

I am behind on my Halloween cards, too! Of course, it would be easy for me to push the blame on some of the projects I've been doing in lieu of posting, but that's just passing the buck.  And, when you're the one in charge of your own site, you are the buck.

I am also behind on Random Packs and even sending out the "Starter Set" packs from quite a while ago.  Those of you that requested either (or both) of those items, be sure to know that those are coming.  I just don't have an ETA right now.

As an aside, I will say that one of the side projects involves putting together a highlight video for a high school basketball player.  That has been a TON of fun!  We've taken about 6 hours of video and culled it down to a 4-and-a-half minute demonstration video plus a one-and-a-half minute "quick peek" video.  The player will be using these for recruiting purposes.  It was a LOT of work, but well worth it as a first-time project (of this kind for me).  I've done plenty of video editing, but this was the first sports highlight video I've done.  I learned a LOT from the experience!  Once I get the copyright secured for the music we used, I will uploading the video to YouTube.  I'll post the video when it's publicly available.

The news around the Tribe clubhouse has been about Thome's coming back next season.  I'd love to see him come back, and given Pronk's penchant for injury, Thome would see lots of playing time.  I think the main thing that might keep him home is his desire to spend the rest of his days with his family.  After 21 seasons, who can blame him?  We'll just have to see.  Either way, it's nice to see him end the season as an Indians player.  I hope when he's elected to the HOF, he goes in as an Indians guy.

Thanks for stopping by! I truly appreciate everyone that takes time out to swing by and read my ramblings.
