182 Packs of Baseball - 030

The 30th day of baseball!  We've been busting packs for almost a month now.  We've also amassed quite a stack of cards to be handed out!  I can't remember if I posted this in the rules or not, but any cards not claimed by teams/players/etc will be divided up among *all* participants.  That is, of course, we have anything not claimed by the time we get to the end.  You never know!

So, we hit the 30th day of baseball pack breaks with a pack of 1991 Studio.

Rod Carew - Twins - Puzzle - 40, 41, 42
Jose Lind - Pirates
Terry Pendleton - Braves
Marquis Grissom - Expos
Bip Roberts - Padres
Lance Parrish - Angels

Greg Vaughn - Brewers
Ruben Sierra - Rangers
Mark Whiten - Indians - WAHOO!! There's a Triber in the pack!
Steve Sax - Yankees
David Justice - Braves
Mike Fitzgerald - Expos

Well, we...got...BIPPED!  Dang, man.  Turns out we also got Tribed, had a little Sax, and a bit of Justice tossed in for good measure.

Each day of the regular baseball season, I am busting open a pack of baseball cards.  These are packs that I have laying around and/or that I have purchased recently on a whim.  I list the cards in the pack and scan in some of them.  I shoot for 9 cards, but sometimes I may scan more, other times fewer.  It all depends on how things hit me in that particular pack.  Oh yes, there will be duplication.  I have a TON of packs from certain brands/years.  I will, however, try to mix things up throughout the season.

For those keeping score, I know there are not actually 182 GAMEDAYS in the 2012 season.  I am counting ALL the days between Opening Day and the last day of the regular season.  Frankly, it's easier that way.  Thanks for playing along.

Also, you are welcome to claim teams/players (Max 3 total). Rules are at the following:

  1. Who gets all the puzzle pieces and other odds and ends?

    1. Singles of the puzzles will go to the team collector/player collector that claimed the team/player first, then if there are subsequent team/player dibs, doubles go to them. Anything left over will be put into the "community pot" to be distributed among all participants. As for the other bits and stuff, I'm not sure yet. Like if a card features no team at all, and hasn't been claimed in any way, then that's a community pot card. Multiple teams on one card? I'll probably flip coins, or flip cards, or something. As you can see, this is a very rigorous set of rules and standards here. Haha!
