Okay everyone, sorry for the delay in getting these posted. Wow, lots involved in getting the drafts rolled out. I am going to have to start earlier than 10pm! haha!
Here are the initial randomized names (click it to enlarge):
After the snaking draft, these are the final results:
Sorry we had several shut-outs. That's the nature of the beast, I suppose. I am trying to be as fair as I can be. If you see a flaw in the draft process, let me know and I'll be happy to at least take a look at the process from another perspective.
To see a list of all the managers and their players, (this spreadsheet) has been posted to the "Pack-A-Day Info" page above.
w00000, I got Dunn! I can live with not getting Jones with that in mind.
ReplyDeleteTo let y'all in on my drafting process a little bit: as so not to be greedy, I'm trying to keep my picks to...
1. Players I'm currently collecting. Assuming we're sticking entirely to baseball here (I collect Jordan in 2 sports, but I count him as a basketball player), there are only 27 more possible names on this list for the season, counting the ones that I already have and the ones who've been picked so far.
2. Players I've collected in the past (there are a LOT more of these, but I may pass on a few here and there, if there are a bunch available; I got Brian Downing in free agent draft #1, missed on Rey Ordonez this time).
3. Players who are on one or more of my fantasy teams (Jay Bruce falls into this category, as he's on both my teams this year and I kept him from last year's squad in my keeper league, but I missed him this time).
Here's a question about picks: are in-season trades of our picks possible, or would that give you ulcers on top of ulcers, Dave?
First of all: Nice breakdown of your thought process! Secondly, in-season trades might work better than post-season because the post-season is full of taking care of piddly things plus I imaging the post-season will be full of trades. I will do a post about this so everyone that checks in can see what I'm up to. So, why bother responding here, then? 'Cause that's how I roll.
