Tribecards from Outer Space: Giant Champions

Hey everyone! Our softball girls took a tough loss this evening. I have to say watching (and helping to coach)  pre-teen girls is a whole different world than boys! Hopefully, we'll get 'em next game!

I won a box of 1984 Donruss Baseball Champions on eBay not long ago, and the box arrived today! I'm not sure I've seen these cards before. I'll have to look through my collection.

Let's see what's in one of the packs. 5 over-sized cards and a Duke Snider puzzle in each pack.

On the back of each card, Donruss compares the modern-day (of the time) player with their historical counterpart. For example, Reggie is compared to the career home runs of Hank Aaron.  Boggs is pitted against Ted Williams in Batting Average.  Many of the players featured on the front in the set would be the featured players on the back if there were such a set today!  Looks like our friend, Mark, is going to walk away with a box worth of Snider puzzle pieces. Talk about your guaranteed hit!
