#PackADailyCircus - Opening Day!! Er, wait. Didn't we already do this?

Hey everyone! Later this evening, I will be running our first free agent draft of the season. I'm looking forward to seeing which players are grabbed up and which, if any, get passed to the next round.

Over the weekend, my family did a little shopping. Since that involved Target, it meant a stop by the card aisle. If you know me at all, you know I can't simply go by the aisle without picking up something to open here.  I snagged a couple packs of Opening Day 2014 and a couple packs of 2014 Stickers.

We've also added a great collection of cards to the next free agent draft, so I suspect the next one will be much more hotly contested than the first one.

Speaking of the first draft, we have just over half the managers participating. Some of us, and I say "us" because I am among the group, are sitting out the first one.

Congratulations, managers!!  The stacks of cards is starting to add up for some of folks. Others, myself included, are eagerly awaiting for a hit or two or ten. It's funny that I remember many of these names from last year's break, so it surprises me when they don't show up as claimed already.

#PackADailyCircus #oopt14 - First 10 Days

I tried uploading my OOTP files to one provider and it failed. I tried a different host and that failed. So, I am temporarily using a third host until I can find one that will let me actually upload all the OOTP files!

The caveat to how I exported the data comes in two forms:

1. I used the "Almanac" feature, thinking I had to do that in order to provide multiple days' worth of information. I have no idea if that was the right thing to do or not, and the manual doesn't really cover how to post your HTML files when you are not doing an online league. Haha! Then again, maybe I am just doing something no one else does.
2. On the site, the League History section does *NOT* work! I did not check the "History" box on the Almanac screen. Everything else, though, should work. Disclaimer: if it doesn't work, let me know but there's probably not a lot I can do about it. What I *do* know is that you can pull up stats for April 1-April10 and you can see standings, results, box scores, player info, etc!  That is wicked awesome (as my New England-based friends would say).

For the record, this game has waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many player injuries! Yikes!

#PackADailyCircus - Heading to Cooperstown

Well, the pack we are busting open has Cooperstown written all over it, anyway.

Here is an update regarding the simulated games played thus far: the OOTP files generated amount to over 500MB of data. Whoa! I will have the first 10 days worth of playing uploaded sometime on Friday and will make a post accordingly. I will need to come up with some other way to let you in on the games themselves. But, once uploaded, you should be able to see standings, box scores, player info, etc.
