Well, we certainly pulled BIG names here! Any packs with Ryan and Ripken Jr are instant hits! We also pulled several duplicates (what I am now calling "Repeat Performance" hits). I think we had a nice mix of players and teams in here.  LaValliere has always intrigued me for some reason. He ended up playing 12 seasons in the MLB and ended up with a .268 avg. In 1993, he pulled in $2.3M and the next year dropped to $100k. Congrats to everyone that pulled out cards from these packs!

I really like these Stars and strips cards. It's funny, though. The "plain" versions (that is, the non-Longevity) would have to be rarer since you only get one per pack, I would think.

In case the "High School" category raises an eyebrow or two, here is how that works: If I reveal a player that is undrafted by MLB and has a graduation date of 2017 or later (at least for this season's PAD Circus), then they are put into the HS category. There is, of course, a chance of the player having been drafted and still gets listed as HS if I couldn't easily find their draft status. All I can offer in those cases is a shoulder shrug and an apology.

PAD Circus - 063 - Super Saturday, Thanks to gcrl!!

Hey everyone! Sorry we missed a post yesterday (July 1), but my internet is acting a bit funky - especially while I am trying to post Youtube videos. Things have settled somewhere in that regard (the internet issue, that is). So, I am taking advantage of a gorgeous Saturday here in the South by avoiding going out into the 100+ "feels like" weather. Haha!

What I am doing today is revealing ALL the rest of the cards sent to us from gcrl! A quick count before we get started shows there are about 80 cards here. Wahoo!!

Oh, quick program notes:

• The card tally is way off, so I have not been posting it. I will get it sorted out by then end of the season to announce winners and, um, the not-so-muches.
• June was too full of personal/work duties to send out a mailing so I will be hitting July hard and heavy. By the end of the month, folks should have current PAD Circus cards and cards from last year's breaks.
• I had a third thing, but it escapes me and I was always taught that if you are going to have bullets, you should have no fewer than three. So, to my teachers watching, here ya go. :-)
