PAD Circus - 020 - Where the A stands for Almost

Hello, everyone! So, it seems that this is the season of "almost." That is, the "A" in PAD has come to mean "Almost" - Packs-Almost-Daily Circus. Ah, well. The biggest thing to remember is that we're having fun (or I am anyway - haha!) and we have LOTS of packs to bust open!

Before we get to that, I am doing something different this season. Roughly once per month, I will be mailing out the cards to the managers. This will do two things: 1) Gets cards in your hands quicker, 2) Makes the process of sorting manageable. So, managers, I will be reaching out over the weekend to get updated mailing addresses!

MailBox: Forgotten Cards from 2x3 Heroes

I couldn't find a post where I mentioned these cards from 2x3Heroes, so I will assume they've been sitting here, patiently waiting for me to scan them in and thank their gracious sender.

There is some seriously good stuff here! The one that puzzles me is the Crisp card. It shows him in a Cleveland uni, but everything else says Boston. So... Is the game-used from Boston or Cleveland? I know it doesn't matter, and yet, it feels like it should, if only for the sake of continuity. I mean, what if the uni is from Cleveland? Is that why he is shown wearing the Tribe uni? What if it is from Boston? Is that why everything other than the picture says Boston? See, these are things that run rampant in the space between my ears.

In the meantime, we have other cool things like the Stadium Club Black, the Green Topps, the Pronk relic, the Sportflics Wahoo, and the other goodies in here!

Buckstore Cards Delivers Tribecards, Boxes for PAD Circus!

Hey there, everyone! After I got back from the conference, I had a box waiting for me. It was from Buckstore Cards (Mets) and WOW what a surprise!

Inside the box, we have TWO (2) boxes of cards for the PAD Circus: 1988 Topps Big Baseball and 1992 Fleer Ultra Series 2!

Not only were there two box of cards, but there were two team bags of cards. I picked out a couple scans worth just to show the cool variety of cards. There were many more than this in the box:

But, wait! There's more! Not only were there a couple stacks of great Indians, but there were also some top-loader Tribers!

WOW!! All of the cards I got were awesome! THANK YOU so much to Doug at Buckstore Cards! WAHOO!! Now, before I end this post, I do have to admit something to you: The autographed Andre Thornton is one of my favorites in the whole box. The 3d Thome is a very close second, but I grew up watching Thornton and I am still geeking out over that card. Super!

Oh yeah, is it just me or could Ashton Kutcher play Super Joe in a movie!? Oh, and how about Ray Liotta play Hargrove? Just sayin...

PAD Circus - 010 - On the road

Hello, everyone! Hope everyone is doing OK today. For the next couple of posts, I will be posting from the road. I am attending a conference, and will be posting at random times during the conference. Actually, more like after the conference and I am back at my hotel room. Ha ha! In any case, I had to buy a box of cards because I am an idiot, and I forgot to bring cards with me. For speed and ease, since some of these will be posted from my phone, I will add managers and photos as I can. Sorry!

PAD Circus - 008 - Free Agent Draft is LIVE! (And we bust a pack)

UPDATE: Josh D discovered that I had forgotten to include "Singers" in the draft for this week. That was an oversight on my part! So, "Singers" will be in the next draft. Sorry, folks!


Hello, everyone! Our first Free Agent Draft of the season is here! If you're not familiar with how it works, let me give you the rundown:

1. ANYONE can enter the draft. Just use the link below and fill it out! If you draft a category, you will be added to the Managers list for the rest of the season.
2. You can only enter ONCE. If you enter more than once, only the most recent entry will count.
3. In this draft, you may select up to three (3) different selections.
4. The draft will be run in Serpentine style based on random ordering. This means that entrants will be randomized then put into the draft program. Once a category is awarded to a manager, the category is removed from the list and remaining selections move up in the draft. Think of how fantasy drafts work. If three people select Kluber, only the first person in the list gets him. The other people lose him as a pick, but their next pick moves up the list.
5. The deadline to pick is FRIDAY, APRIL 15 at 11:59PM Central - Yeah, that's right, just taxes.
6. If you win a category (or more), you get ALL the cards from that category, including cards already found in packs as well as from packs opened during the 2016 MLB season.

Howdy, everyone! Today is Day 5 of the PAD Circus giveaway. Wahoo!! To give you a heads up, I have been keeping track of how many cards each manager gets throughout the season. I will post that after the first Free Agent Draft and it will be updated as I bust open packs. I think it will be fun to see which team/category ends up with the most (and least) cards. Hello, everyone! Welcome to Day Three! Wahoo!! Okay, so the weather may have gotten the best of the Tribe on their opener, we are more than ready to warm up to another pack of cards. Today, I have 2015 Panini Stars and Stripes Longevity. Since these are "Team USA" cards, I will attempt to match the player with the pro team they were first drafted. If I cannot figure it out, then.. umm.. I'll make something up.
