Sometimes, a player comes to the plate expecting to see the perfect pitch mistakenly laid up by the pitcher. The batter envisions throwing his wrists at the ball, swinging the bat, and sending that perfectly placed pitch over the wall in deep center. And, sometimes, the batter doesn't quite get all of that perfect pitch and instead hits for a single up the middle.
Tonight, we have such a scenario. Well, sorta. Actually, it's more like a guy who expects to hit a double but only gets a single. That's better than striking out, though. Right? What on Earth am I talking about?
Instead of a 2-for-Tuesday, I have a single pack of cards to tide us over until my replenishment package arrives from Dave & Adam's, assuming it ever does. It's been a long wait. I digress. Often.
Tonight, I am opening 2010 UD Series 1. 18 cards per pack.
