Feeling like Yukon Cornelius... NOTHIN...

Welp, we headed out today and too a 2-mile hike through some trails at Lake Catherine, near Hot Springs, AR. Had a good time, and we older folks are feeling it for sure. Haha! After that, we headed out in search of the card shops...

Alas, "Legends and Heroes" is now ... er, defunct:


The only card shop that came up in searches was "Alternate Worlds Cards and Comics. It was in a strip mall at one point, but now none of the stores there are anything remotely close to a card shop.

And, so, it seems I will be buying cardboard from Walmart when we head out for snacks and sundries later. I was really hoping to have scored at least something from a LCS. It was not to be.

    Tough luck.

    I stayed in Hot Springs one night when we were traveling back to MO from a Red Sox Rangers game.

    While I didn't hit a card shop in Hot Springs I did stop for a blaster at Wal Mart and got an auto. So hope your luck is as good.

      Awesome! I'd love to hear about the stay in HS. Did you happen to take in any of the baseball-related things in town? HS was THE spring training hot spot back in the day...

      I didn't, we were not even planning on staying at all. I was going to drive straight through to home but decided I couldn't go any farther so stopped for the night. We got a room for the night and left the next morning.
