Gint-A-Cuffs Hobby Box & Group Break (box from D&A Card World)

NOTE: This post is *NOT* the season break pack post for Monday. That comes later. :-)

GROUP BREAK!! Here is a breakdown of how things happened:

1. All Group Break entries were randomized to determine pecking order for random pairing.
2. After each pairing, the selected team was removed from the list. The remaining pairing teams were randomized and the first team on the list was assigned to the next purchased slot (based on the random order in step 1 above)
3. Step 2 was repeated until all purchased slots had pairings. 
4. After everyone else had been paired, I took the remaining teams and randomized them. That gave me my first selection. I removed it from the list and randomized again to get my second pairing.
5. All other remaining teams will be randomly distributed among all paid slots. Note: that is paid SLOTS and not paid PARTICIPANTS! So, if you paid for more than one slot, you get that many random cards! That includes slots for the non-sport subset paid slots. Example: Captain Canuck gets one slot for random cards; Chris gets five slots for random cards.
6. The random cards will be disbursed per card, not per team. In fact, the random cards were shuffled prior to distribution.
7. ALL final results are listed below, including random card distribution. Card owner's name appears in parentheses at the end of each card's point tally.
8. These cards will be mailed THIS week!
9. The Ginter Code cards were the last two cards given out. Everything was done before those were given to participants.
10. As mentioned before, we came "close enough" in my book to do another box break. I'll post a poll soon to gauge what you want to bust!

When I received my box of A&G, I could read the Cabinet card through the wrapper. I was not impressed. When I opened the card, my daughter said, "It's very ugly." I agree. The image looks like a bad image enlargement. It looks like someone took a postage stamp and blew it up to the size of the cabinet card. Yeah, it's ugly.  Oh, yeah, the card is of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, or so the card says.

At least the wrapper will go to a good home - BaseballDad collects wrappers.

The card actually looks better here than in person.

After I opened the box, I decided to weight each pack. I have no idea why I would do such a thing since I've never had the inclination to that before. Anyway, after I weighed them, I decided to go ahead and post the finding here in case anyone found interest in such things. The results:

• 5 packs weigh 0.6 ounces
• 17 packs weigh 0.7 ounces
• 2 packs weigh 0.8 ounces

One of the packs kept flitting between 0.6 and 0.7, but finally settled on 0.6 so I included it in that pile.  As I rip the packs, I will note which weight they had. After opening each pack, I scanned the cards and placed them back into the wrapper. Then, I moved on to the next pack. I did this so when it came to score the cards, I could refer back to their specific pack if needed. Not sure I ever would need to do it, but just in case.
