Treasure(?) Never Buried...

I had an envelope in the mail from JV over at Treasure Never Buried. When I opened it, this is what I found inside:


Was this some kind of 'trick?' Does 'buried' indicate this was some kind of tombstone? As I inspected things further, it turned out to be TWO such pieces:


What were these strange headstone-shaped piece of thick cardboard? If you look closely, you can make out what appear to land patterns, like sand or something at the bottom of each one. The background appears to be some kind of "filtered light" effect. Did these artifacts come from some board game? Did JV rob Connor's game closet in the name of card protection? They look like pieces from a Spongebob Squarepants game, or Little Mermaid though that seems unlikely. I searched and searched and could find no branding whatsoever. There is no copyright. Just two headstones from Davy Jones' locker....

Sandwiched between the two cardboard pieces was the card I received for "Paying it Backward:"



If someone out there (not JV!) can correctly identify the two cardboard pieces, I will reward that person with a game-used card! It's like "Paying It Backward" only different...
